Ashewo-Ara is Typical of Kabbala's Music, blending many western influences like the hendrix style guitar solo, funk keybords and bass with a dance theme that developed in the late forties from the Kwahu region of Ghana, by taylors and sandal makers who used pairsof scissors and lids of cigarettes tins to produce the rythmic sound similar to that of the high hat cymbals. This rhythmic structure is called Asewa. The original structure was quickly absorbed and blendedwith a variation of its free style danceing and up-tempo beat
