Strong copy ! French press ! Changesonebowie is a compilation album by British musician David Bowie, issued through RCA Records in 1976. It collected songs from the 1969–1976 period, including the first LP appearance of "John, I'm Only Dancing".This 11 track collection, billed on stickers attached to some editions as ..."Bowie's Greatest Hits", contains album versions for five tracks though a different single version had previously been released. Two of the tracks had previously been released as "b" sides, one of these (Suffragette City) was also issued as an "A" side to promote this compilation.Of the RCA editions, early UK editions contain an alternative 1973 recording of "John, I'm Only Dancing", this soon changed to the recording from the 1972 single.
Nine tracks of 'life-affirming downer music' by Swedish duo Charlott Malmenholt and Joakim Karlsson aka Treasury Of Puppies. Mitt Stora Nu is the Gothenburg-based duo's second album, following last year's titled Lollos Dagbok and their eponymous debut back in 2020. A collection of lo-fi and quirky indie-pop ditties, all said to have been influenced by Edgar Allan Poe as much as Britney Spears. Mastered by Giuseppe Ielasi and pressed in an edition of 1000 copies. Comes with insert.
While Bauhaus have been waiting to continue their reunion shows, founding member David J has been trawling through his archive of tapes and diaries from the early 80s in coll;aboration with sound sculptor Tim Newman to present two volumes of unique spoken word and songs, including a vocal contribution from Black Francis of The Pixies and guitar overdubs by Warren Defever of His Name Is Alive and Adrian Utley of Portishead. Sleeve notes by Andrew Brroksbank of the Bauhaus Archive. Tangerine Vinyl
An ex-member of some of Japan’s best underground groups of the last few decades (Miminokoto, LSD March and Usurabi among them), guitarist Masami Kawaguchi presents one of his most singular visions in new album ‘Self Portrait’. It's a collection of dynamic rock behemoths, encompassing gorgeous, folky blues to wind-blown post-rock.
Doroth follow on from a 2019 self-released digi EP with this fresh 7” for Research. The duo of Loretta Wilde and Maria Moles from Melbourne have established a song writing craft that’s equal parts This Heat and Throwing Muses; all disjointed rhythms and dry vocal delivery that seems to come with an intentional feeling of malaise. Where their self-titled EP allowed for the sprawling Still House Plants-esque sound of ‘On The Lamb’, both ‘Take It Easier’ and ‘Picture’ condense the live sound into two sub 4 minute slices of indie pop / art rock goodness. We’ve got no clue what photograph Wilde is singing about but the combination of bass and drums bouncing off one another underneath her prolonged strainings will be sure to stick in your brain.'crédits
