After a noteworthy first release, the Hidden Folder label is back in the spotlight with a new EP from Christopher Ledger. Talk Up Straight kicks off with the title track and it's the sort of tune to get any floor up on its toes and raving thanks to the slapping hits and twisted synths that bring life to the tough beats. 'Do It Like That' then brings a naughty bassline and fresh house bounce to a track with hints of retro filth. 'Almost There' is a more smooth groove that locks you into the warm synth smears and driving house drums then last of all is 'XTC' which has a menacing edge to it amongst the bristling percussion and future tech drums.
