What happens when you bring together a space hop juggernaut with a spacey electro-soul outfit? The Hue collective, hailing from Space City, is the aftermath of combining the critically acclaimed groups H.I.S.D. (Hueston Independent Spit District) with their cosmic kinsmen and rising sensation Radio Galaxy. Their mission is to explore the creation of music with no boundaries.Conceived in 2013, this futurist soul hybrid consists of songstress/femcee Spacebunny Jefferson, emcees Scottie Spitten, Equality, and Savvi, along with producers King Midas and DJ Cozmos.Coming off of stellar projects, H.I.S.D.’s The Weakend and Radio Galaxy’s We Come in Peace, the aptly titled collaborative sequal, Aurora marks a new beginning in the ongoing mission to end the weak and space up the world through sound and color. Originally released in 2017 under his pseudonym No Quantize, Bird Syndrome, the first album of the french artist NxQuantize, is now being reissued with an additional remixed version. As a symbol of a new beginning , the talented musician and producer based in Marseille changes his alias and joins the Omakase Recordings music label to give a rebirth to his trip-hop opus tainted with jazz and electronic music.For this occasion, several artists who come from a broader musical spectrum have reinterpreted the Bird Syndrome’s nine tracks through a series of hip-hop, ambient, electronica and dance music remixes. The richness of this expanded release reflects the production process of NxQuantize next album, currently in progress...Discovering or re-discovering Bird Syndrome is like diving into the poetic and introspective world of an incredibly skilled musician in search of freedom, emotions and magic.

The Winston Brothers, formation de funk allemande, sort son tout premier album, Drift, sur Colemine Records. L’album invite les auditeurs dans un voyage instrumental futuriste. Mais ne vous y trompez pas : bien que profondément ancré dans la tradition funk, The Winston Brothers n’est pas un groupe poussiéreux. The Winston Brothers est le projet studio du multi-instrumentiste et producteur hambourgeois Sebastian Nagel (The Mighty Mocambos, Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band) et du batteur / percussionniste Lucas Kochbeck (The KBCS, Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band, Hamburg Spinners). Vétérans de la musique avec un penchant pour la production analogique, les deux hommes combinent un état d’esprit boom bap avec un sens aigu du funk et collaborent fréquemment pour créer des arrangements dynamiques, à la fois clin d’œil au passé du genre et musique contemporaine organique. Avec sa batterie lourde, ses breaks juteux, ses grooves entêtants, ses riffs brûlants et ses instrumentaux mélodiques, Drift puise dans l’énergie brute du funk des années 60 et 70. Les motifs répétitifs et accrocheurs évoluent vers des paysages sonores vibrants, avec une dynamique propre, allant de l’incendiaire au cool, voire à l’onirique.
