Pablo GUERRERO / FINIS AFRICAE Los Dioses Hablan Por Boca De Los Vecinos Abstrakce Spain

Pablo GUERRERO / FINIS AFRICAE
Los Dioses Hablan Por Boca De Los Vecinos
Abstrakce Spain

First vinyl edition ever of this lost experimental Spanish essential album. A delicate work that absorbs specific aspects of different music - minimalism, tribal sounds, new age, ambient, spoken word - to create its particular universe.

With an absolutely contemplative recording climate, the poems and their sound environments explore the deepest self of the poet and singer from Extremadura, Pablo Guerrero. The work combines memories of childhood through the valleys of his native village, Esparragosa de Lares, with the evolution of life to reach the contemplative state in adulthood. A score written in a collaboration with two old friends, Juan A. Arteche Gual and Juan C. Fdez Puerta (Finis Africae), who weave a beautiful tapestry of electronic sounds so that the deep and serious voice of the poet shells all the images that his ode encloses.

Penya's self-titled, wild and untamed sophomore album reimagines the global music landscape.A genre melting exploration of ancestral rhythms, “Penya” asks the question : How deep do our roots reach into the unseen places that keep us anchored to the real world? The answers revealed themselves through an intuitive creative process guided by feeling. The word “Penya” arrived as a nod to the Spanish word “Peña” which describes a meeting place of celebration for musicians and artists.
France's reputation for underground techno is on the rise and this new album from Marcelus won't do it any harm. The Parisian producer has already a string of acclaimed releases on Tresor and Deeply Rooted House, and Vibrations showcases his ability to craft killer, purist grooves. "Forplay" and "Steel Drums (Take 2)" are heads down, tribal rollers that will cause chaos on the dance floor, while "Transient" is a dense, drum track that takes its cues from the Lost / Cosmic strain of 90s techno. On "Multiply", Marcelus flirts with the legacy of Sativa and Dave Tarrida to create an unpredictable, sprawling groove. In between these pillars of functionality and wild abstraction Marcelus also delivers the introspective "Initial Sense" and the loose house groove of "Funky Datas". It's one of the bravest techno works of 2016.
A1 127 - A2 127 - B1 127 - B2 117 //// Long before the current trend of EBM/industrial fuelled techno, Terrence Fixer was there, honing his now trademark style on his highly regarded Planete Rouge imprint as well as collaborating with Nitzer Ebb frontman Douglas McCarthy for several energised live shows over the years. For Berlin institution Ostgut Ton, he appears again with "Beneath The Skin", a powerful and brooding exercise in main room techno with equal parts tension and suspense. "Trace To Nowhere" features dramatic, reverb soaked vocals backed by trippy and hypnotic madness that even Mike Parker would stand up and notice. Finally "Immersion" provides a different and refreshing perspective from the Frenchman, going for an ethereal and emotive deep techno style that's perfect for drifting.
