Penya's self-titled, wild and untamed sophomore album reimagines the global music landscape.

A genre melting exploration of ancestral rhythms, “Penya” asks the question :

How deep do our roots reach into the unseen places that keep us anchored to the real world?

The answers revealed themselves through an intuitive creative process guided by feeling. The word “Penya” arrived as a nod to the Spanish word “Peña” which describes a meeting place of celebration for musicians and artists.

Les Disques de culte are back with a new exploration of the original soundtracks of the golden age of French X-rated films, the cult movie La Femme-objet, which has never been released before (neither on LP or any other format). A tribute to pleasure, composed by Jean-Claude Nachon, who at the dawn of the eighties was using without any restrains all the arsenal of the pioneers of the "electro-porn" to enhance the prodigious performance of Marilyn Jess. Languorous and effective beats, between psychedelic reggae, synth-pop and electro-orgasmics take-offs, gathered in this intimate selection to listen alone or accompanied…Fully restored the audio tracks from original material. Inside, in a gatefold, you'll find a copy of a rare vintage italian X-rated comics (translated in english) starring Marilyn Jess and la Cicciolina, so that you can get busy with your hands while listening to your LP.
** 2021 Stock. Edition of 150 ** Long-awaited return of Steve Marreyt, the grandmaster of psychedelic dronefolk-soundcollages. here he resurfaces with three long and impulsive tracks - mainly based on vocals and samples, but using the same direct and messy approach that made his earlier releases so unique. The entire A-side is taken up by an acapella lamentation for Herman Bisschop, the Dutch artist who passed away in the summer of 2018 and was a personal friend of Marreyt. The B-side thrives on samples, making it a more hectic listen, yet clear and oddly structured’-sounding for a Wappenhalter release. Definitely an adventurous but rewarding listen.

Reymour packed their bags in the pre-Alps of Switzerland and left to start a new life in Bruxelles. This debut album finds originates in this transition, again in a bilingual environment, by now a Knekelhuis theme. Leviosa documents the emergence of a kind of dance built from chansons, synthpop and cute minimal wave. Luc Bersier’s wide musical spectrum reaches great heights while staying small. He creates the musical bedrock on which Reymour’s cabinet of musical curiosities rests, allowing us to drift away on the unctuous fumes of Lou’s vocals. On these tracks she covers a wide array of feelings, of doubt, sexual orientation, play and melancholia. And it all comes together in the reflection of life. Close friend and family guy Low Bat contributes vocals and gameplay on 2 of the album’s tracks.
An echo through the ages, channelled and tuned by Young Marco. Feelings of tactile, loved-up naivety, transferred to musical waves of colour, rhythmic energy, and hallucinatory aural visions. This is ‘I’m Still Mellow’ and the psychedelic yin to its’ yang, reverse alternative version ‘Wollem Lits M’I’.Both are imaginative 21st century takes on ‘Mellow’, a long-forgotten Amsterdam-born sub-genre of dance music that took the house template and re-imagined it for Dutch dancefloors in the early ‘90s.
