Hell Yeah! Recordings has released all sorts of music over the years, but in recent times its' catalogue has becoming increasingly Balearic in tone. Here they further their nu-Balearic credentials via a four-track EP of tracks tailor-made for summer. If you're looking for well-known faces, Balearic legend Chris Coco joins forces with Micko Roche on the utterly gorgeous 'What is Love' (B2), while Max Essa predictably does a terrific job in turning The Vendetta Suite's 'Neon Secrets' into a saucer-eyed downtempo classic that draws much influence from late '80s New Order records. Elsewhere, Jaspar Robinson and Kayroy's 'Satellite' is a slow-motion affair where glistening guitars and hazy vocals tumble down across a slow-motion electro beat, while Feel Fly's 'Esperanto' would have sounded great on a Mediterranean beach in the mid 1980s.

Omar-S always does things his own way and always hits hard, this time doubling up on that title with some of his tighest and brightest productions for - oooh - a good few weeks at least.This is wall-to-wall good shit, House bangers stripped bare, loads of space, endless hooks - basically undeniably deadly gear, especially on 'Mell'like Boom Boom In'dair!' with its completely fucking riotous hybrid of a squashed acid line and bounced snares, something like Wordy Rappinghood if it were re-worked by MMM and Theo Parrish.yasss.

LUXXURY (born Blake Robin) is the LA Beatmaker who really comes correct on this new EP on Nolita Records. It features four of his freshest tunes to date and if the title is anything to go by it could be the start of a fine new series. Things start all sensuous on 'Let's Stay Together' before the stylish cosmic disco Rhdoes and smooth grooves of 'Don't Give Up (I Believe In You)' and breezy, hip swing charms of 'Pleasure' make a great impression. 'Two Hearts' rides on nice languid bass riffs and last of all comes the upbeat, piano laced and hands in the air jam, 'Hold On (Crackazat remix).'
