Discogs comment : " All I know is its deep, its bangs, and it stays in the crate ready to drop in a set."
Belle copie w/ inner sleeve. Various - Music For Dance & Theatre Volume OneMFM astutely highlight longstanding links between dance and electronic music with a prime first selection of obscurities taking in Gerard Stokkink’s lush electro-jazz-fusion, hypnotic percussive possession by Atlantis Transit Project, and the lilting 4th World trip of Ramuntcho Matta.“This will be the first in a small series of EPs which will focus on music which was initially created for or inspired by dance and performance. Created as a dialogue with the avant-garde and highly experimental work in dance, theatre and art evolving at the time, the music was in turn at times greatly innovative. "
Portico Quartet have defied categorisation over the course of six studio albums. From their 2007 Mercury Music Prize nominated breakthrough ‘Knee-Deep in the North Sea’ through to the longform minimalist inspired ‘Terrain’ in 2021.Their new electronic driven album Monument shows the band at their most direct, with a streamlined, rhythmic sound. Full of precisely sculpted ideas combining human touch with electronic efficiency, ‘Monument’ displays the acclaimed widescreen minimalists at their best.
Dark Fields stands out from the barrage or recent Spanish experimental-industrial underground re-issues as one of the most obscure and surrounded by mysticism. One massive track with no cuts, recorded in 1979 under the motto "a silence that makes dogs bark" and released by Klamm in 1983 in a tiny edition of 300, the trio disbanded shortly after finishing the recording and never looked back.Darker than tar atmospheres with Resident's like vocals, this is the brainchild of Caballero T's obsessions with Brian Eno's work, who found the perfect partners in Tres' psychotic vocals and the studio wizardry of Señor Nada. Reissued by Madrid's Equilibrio, who already gave us Randomize's ¿Como se divertirán los insectos? Not for the faint of heart. [info sheet from distr.]
