Speaking of blends, "Coffee Cold" is Hammond-heaved cover of a Galt MacDermot track from the Woman Is Sweet soundtrack. Largely instrumental and full of organ and horn Q&As, it's a spiralling groove session that rolls out in a manner that's like a funk version of Babe Ruth's "The Mexican". "She Ain't Got No Soul", meanwhile, is a full-flavoured vocal original where the band's charismatic singer Roger Fullosoul gets centre stage to lay down some really belly-driven vocals over another tight bed of guitar riffs and even tighter horns. Stone cold funky.
