12th Isle quickly follow on from the double LP 'Athenian Primitivism' by Christos Chondropoulos with two recordings from performance, voice and sound artist Lucy Duncombe. Cut to 10" vinyl and mastered by Morgan Buckley (Wah Wah Wino), 'Brace / Mend' are collaborative works exploring an early musical fascination with theatrical vocal transposition and its duality with machinic interference and technologies. Lucy recently expanded upon this practice with a joint tape release with DJ Crud (Al White) entitled THE RAPTURE OF CELLULAR ACCRETION. This limited run single continues 12th Isle's on-going relationship with musicians in their city of Glasgow.

As part of long standing Dutch label EPMmusic's 20 year anniversary series of releases, we have some rarities from the vaults of the one and only Karl O'Connor aka Regis. The Downwards chief offers up three powerful expressions in pure form techno, all in his idiosyncratic style. From the driving and hypnotic tribal groove of 'No Love From Above' on the A side, to B side cuts like the steely and austere tool 'At The Side Of Silence' and the pounding drums of the title track, which takes on a majestic form when those rousing chords gradually ease into the mix.

The only thing you can make sense of is that you aren’t currently satisfied, and you want a change in your life, even though you aren’t exactly sure of where you belong. He stayed true to his feelings, regardless of judgement or other people’s thoughts and opinions. In the end, it’s all about fulfilling creativity and exploring feelings without boundaries.“In Between Places”, demonstrates his remarkable talent for extending varied elements across the whole spectrum, allowing a wide range of influences to inspire, entertain and captivate the audience in a very special way. What makes “In Between Places” stand out is the fact that it shows the artist’s chops, without seeming to try to hard to do so. It’s organic and dynamic; technically accomplished, but also incredibly spontaneous and one-of-a-kind in its execution. The instrumental is perfectly balanced, allowing B.Visible’s expertly interwoven patterns of melody and rhythm to soar through the mix and come alive with raw and thrilling performance.Ultimately, “In Between Places” is a truly special album, which is rich in terms of sound design and textures. This record is a musical journey with a unique twist.
