NxQuantize

OnYi est d'abord né de la collaboration entre l'artiste NxQuantize et le label marseillais Omakase Recordings. Cet album, d’une richesse narrative et sonore éblouissante, se distingue par une fusion de genres, combinant sonorités urbaines et cinématographiques, néo-jazz rythmé et électronique enveloppante, enrichi par l'utilisation d'instruments organiques, de boites à rythme et de synthétiseurs. Il comporte une pléthore d'invités de qualité issus d'univers différents, dont le rappeur new-yorkais Dark Skinned Assassin, la chanteuse franco-britannique Appolonie et le rappeur GREMS. Les sources d'inspiration d'Onyi oscillent entre différents artistes tels que Bonobo, Floating Points, Pharoah Sanders, Djrum, Bonobo et Daniel San.

Le terme "OnYi", néologisme de l'artiste, signifie "être dans le vide", en écho à l'exploration des mystères de l'univers et des limites de notre existence.

L'album est une contemplation de la nature et de l'espace, où la musique crée un silence qui donne vie à tout ce qui nous entoure.

OnYi is the result of a collaboration between the artist NxQuantize and the Marseilles-based label Omakase Recordings. This album, with its captivating wealth of narrative and sound, is characterized by a fusion of genres, combining urban and cinematic sounds, rhythmic neo-jazz, and enveloping electronica, enriched by the use of organic instruments, drum machines, and synthesizers. It features a plethora of high-quality guests from different worlds, including the New York rapper Dark Skinned Assassin, the Franco-British singer Appolonie, and the rapper GREMS. OnYi takes inspiration from artists such as Bonobo, Floating Points, Pharoah Sanders, Djrum, Bonobo, and Daniel San.

The term 'OnYi', a neologism coined by the artist, means 'to be in the void', reflecting his exploration of the mysteries of the universe and the limits of our existence.

The album is a contemplation of nature and space, with the music creating a silence that gives life to everything around us.
