Pugilist, Tamen

WATCH OUT Mindcatcher The latest d&b sermon on Rupture is a collaboration from two devoted practitioners of the craft - Pugilist and Tamen. Holding it down for Western Australia's scene, they've linked up for a number of releases in recent times, turning heads with their drop on Dext which no doubt helped fan the flames for this knockout EP. There's expertly woven tension on mid-pressure 'Anda' and pin-prick threads of percussion punctuating 'Extract', while the textural sound design is just as subtle and refined. This is subtle but incredibly effective d&b of the highest order, as if you'd expect any less from a new release on Rupture.
