Twilight Expanse ebeats - dispo au Discopathe Montpellier !

London-based label and collective Cartulis Music announce their fifteenth release titled “Twilight Expanse” by New York producer Ebeats. A reissue from the early noughties featuring a previously unreleased Ebeats cut plus two new remixes by the legendary Radioactive Man and FOLD associate Voicedrone. The title track is one near and dear to the spirit of Cartulis – an emotive journey through hazy breakbeats, sirens from faraway lands, dramatic narratives battling through each other in a nine minute long piece of music. The rest of the record swings from club-ready techno grooves to various shades of electro–dark and dubby or bright and punchy.

Killer B2`Chicago based producer Tai Davis first came to light earlier this year with the Made In Chicago 12" on Dizzy Tunes, and now he follows that up with an EP on the ever productive Vibraphone. As the title No Computers Necessary would suggest, this is classically-rooted house music with all the charm the hardware process provides. Davis' productions are bright, melodic creations with rock solid grooves and strong hooks for all kinds of good times, with B2 track "Floating" standing out with its strafing acid line punching out into a decidedly ethereal soundscape.Tai DAVISNo Computers Necessary (reissue)Vibraphone
Supervision records is very happy to present its second various that gathers brilliant talents for a huge compilation of breaky beats and groovy sounds. Garage vibe at its finest.
On its' original release in 2002, Tony Allen's HomeCookin album was arguably a little overlooked. Like its' predecessor, 1999's Black Voices, the set updated the legendary drummer's Afrobeat sound for a new millennium. As this timely reissue proves, it was a particularly successful exercise. The album's genius lies in the Nigerian sticks-man's combination of traditional elements - most notably his loose, skittish polyrhythms, guitars and punchy horns - with elements of future-jazz, modern soul (see the brilliant Eska collaboration, "What's Your Fashion") and hip-hop. British rapper Ty excels himself on a number of killer cuts, though it's a more traditional Allen style dancefloor workout - the sublime "Crazy Afrobeat" - that really stands out.
Official reissue of the excellent first mini album by End Of Data, originally released in 1984 by Divine records (Tuxedomoon, Fra Lippo Lippi, Mecano…).End Of Data existed in Rennes, Brittany (France) during the early eighties and shared members with Charles De Goal. They released only 2 records that are classics of the minimal synth pop and new wave.“Great and rare French album. Minimal Synth, post punk and some art rockish hints. Would appeal to all fans of Autopilot, Kas Product, Dark Day, Sad Lovers and Giants, etc.” Mutant SoundsThe record has been remastered and includes liner notes by the band.
