AKAE BEKA Rule The Time Before Zero

If you're a fan of the original heavyweight roots sounds then Akae Beka's Rule The Time is the sort of record you need to hear. He brings soulful melodies to deep, multi-layered songwriting, an unwavering devotion to RasTafari and healing moods across his work which totaled over 70 albums in his accomplished career. He sadly lost his life in 2019 but his legacy lives on not least through this album which is now reissued some 16 years after it first arrived. It has potent drums and shame vocals with basslines that anchor you to the floor and creative musical arrangements that make a real impression.

All time classic, repressed !
This killer double sided single form 1968 finds its way onto 7" for the first time ever. Back then it was actually put out as a blank label and was mistakenly credited to The Bleachers, ratter than The Race Fans who actually wrote it. On the B-side is a totally different tune, 'Bookie Man,' which is a gem in its own right. A rare sound and killer groove, it's a great yin to the yang of the a-side and this is the first time both of these have been pressed up together at the same time. The RACE FANSBookie Man aka Whats Wrong With YouHarlem Shuffle
