JURA SOUNDSYSTEM Return To The Island Temples Of Jura superbe album Balearic disponible au format vinyle dans notre disquaire localisé à Montpellier

Sit back, relax, and sink into a faraway world thanks to the evocative sounds of Jura Soundsystem. It is an idyllic place with the sound of distant bird calls, humid jungle atmospheres and life-affirming melodies. Everything from ambient house to new age, Balearic bliss to downtempo corpus the perfectly escapist grooves with the gentle patter of 'Linn Fun' an early highlight. There is a playful sense of boogie funk to 'King Of Aldinga' while 'Freediving In The Tropical Zone' has a 90s feel with its scuffed-up and lazy drums and seductive bassline. A lovely album indeed.

This EP – taking 4 years in the making – marks the first ever 12” release of the elusive downtempo italo-boogie tune “Guarda l’Amore”, sung by the mysterious italian duo Gianni & Donatella, only previously available on the impossibly rare 1987 “Disco Italia” compilation LP, released on the tiny italian “Disco In” label. Our archives diggin’ job proved to be incredibly fruitful, to the point that we’ve unearthed four *previously unreleased* demo tracks sung by tracks author Walter Canducci along with Gianni, supposed to be part of an LP release that ultimately never saw the light of the day….until now, and guess what – they’re jaw-dropping!Starting with the slap-bass funk bomb “Si, No”, then going into the late-night love maker “Amore Mio”, topping it all with the mellow beach vibes-infused “Come Allora”. On top of that, you’ll also get an alternate “Guarda l’Amore” demo version. We will never know how these lo-fi demos would sound if the original project of Gianni & Donatella singing on all tracks succeeded, but the only existing recorded evidence can sure give a feel of this unique italo-boogie studio project, that has a space in the most respected DJ bags only.
Space and Awareness is the debut release on Tonight’s Dream Records, a record label and mix series based in Brighton UK, focusing on forward thinking, unique music within the realms of ambient, downtempo and electronica.Space and Awareness is the eighth album from Inhmost, the alias of producer Simon Huxtable. With over 24 years experience Huxtable has released a huge array of music. However, now Huxtable uses Inhmost to serve up deep immersive ambient and downtempo music. Space and Awareness is filled with deep baselines and downtempo breaks that are perfectly balanced with the atmospheric ambient textures making it a thoroughly engaging listen. In the producers words “Space & Awareness was made at a time when I felt particularly conscious and receptive of the space around me and I wanted to create an atmosphere that reflected this organically. A mixed approach of using analogue and digital hardware both in and out of the box along with captured field recordings was used to create a broad and changeable soundscape. I did not want this album to just be purely ambient so the use of downtempo beat structures and rhythms felt like a more appropriate way to convey the variety of emotions that I was feeling at the time.”The album has been mastered by prolific producer and mastering engineer Rafael Anton Irisarri at Black Knoll Studio who has worked on albums for artists such as Juliana Barwick, Grouper, Steve Hauschildt, Loscil, Telefon Tel Aviv and Tycho amongst hundreds of others.
Gem after gem. Play it Loud.
OBG is a third thrilling album of inventive dub rhythms from the one they call Branko. He is the Buraka Som Sistema co-founder and Enchufada label-head and here he gets more personal and intimate than ever before. He has said the album is a "letter of love and thanks to the community around him" and it takes its cues from his homeland of Portugal's beautiful landscapes with bass heavy, lumpy rhythms at the core. Elements of kuduro, kizomba, zouk, baile funk and more all future with organic texture, lush vocals and warm paints over always low slung grooves. Another classic from the main man.
