Le Discopathe Montpellier

After a remix-centred debut, Tremors’ second vinyl release presents three killer electro cuts from Glasgow producer Arctor.

Heaving with rich synths and low-end drive, the title track promises instant dance floor chemistry under the influence of bleeps and an addictive vocoder sample.

Also on the A-side, ‘Kushelov Effect’ laces glitchy breaks with warm melodies, while on the flip we have a groovy stepping bassline locking down vocals and touches of acid.

After the release of their first album, Il Est Vilaine ask to artists and friends to deliver a series of high-flying remixes: Tolouse Low Trax, Krikor, Khidja, Marvin & Guy, Golden Bug, Rubin Steiner, C.A.R…Tolouse Low Trax opens the ball with a destructured version of Yvré- L'évêque while keeping the darkness of the track. We can hear a nod to the track "Holland Tunnel Dive" anthem of the Salon des Amateurs. For the eponymous track Khidja were inspired by the sounds of the land of the rising sun which is a good thing to accompany the song of Narumi Hedgehog! A bright version and influenced by YMO's era Sakamato.Golden Bug & In Field proposes an alternative just as trippy as the original version of Marilyn Drum, a trip between neighborhood hospitals and crazy guru.Another version of Yvré-l'Evêque this time Krikor takes care of it and takes out his sampler for a digi-dancehall version that only he has the secret, Faya !Rubin Steiner delivers a version back to the roots of Bar à Gwin mixing deep house texture and 80's-NY-hip-hop/electro.The two Italians of Marvin & Guy bring out the hits, the guitars and the arpeggios for an epic version of Mystères de Lorient. To close the album, we find Narumi Hérisson at the controls of her piano for a dreamy and sensitive version of Phare Ouest where her voice and that of Yula Kasp are mixed in the greatest harmony!
More obscure edits by Alexis Le Tan & Joakim for their project Full Circle. Artwork by Ill Studio.
Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann returns with a second album for Ostgut in the shape of the simply titled Dettmann II. Unlike Hollywood, this musical sequel to his debut self titled LP of three years packs just as hefty a punch and arrives with Marcel at his busiest. In addition to overseeing his MDR imprint and putting out a steady stream of EPs for Ostgut Ton, he's contributed two singles to Modeselektor's 50 Weapons as well as mixing an entry into Music Man's Conducted mix series. Hot on the heels of an entry into Bleep's techno-centric Green Series, Dettmann II arrives and follows a similar formula to his LP length debut. Expect a mixture of ambient soundscapes and minimalist experimental cuts going up against more uncompromising dancefloor material, and there's a high profile cast of supporting names involved too; Emika provides vocals on "Seduction" while multi-monikered Rene Pawlowitz and Levon Vincent have assisted in the production of the tracks "Aim" and "Outback".
On their self-titled debut album Etienne Jaumet and Fabrizio Rat, both trained pianists, re-invent their favourite instrument to make us hear it in a totally new way. While the former creates unusual sounds thanks to the rhythmic machines that accompany his piano, the latter uses this classical and romantic instrument par excellence to explore the techno sphere."The basic idea of our duo is to confront the harmonic richness of the piano and the synthesizer through rhythm. To explore our interactions through live music. To develop new atmospheres thanks to the evocative power of unusual sounds. Somewhere between ambient and sound experimentation…'

'75Gronland GermanyAprès la sortie des deux premiers albums, le duo Neu! se sépare en 1972, mais se reforme moins de trois ans plus tard pour réaliser cet album qui marque les différences entre eux. La première face correspond à la musique ambient de Rother, tandis que la face 2 contient le son punk de Dinger, dont la chanson Hero. Cette dernière inspirera de nombreux artistes dont les Sex Pistols.
