Blue mode representing perfectly the Soul Jazz and Hammond Funk scene today, gets his name directly from one of Reuben Wilson’s album. Reuben Wilson one of the most prolific organist in the late 60’s early 70’s contributed to the spreading and recognition of this music ! Blue mode is a summary of all this musical legacy. La jeune chanteuse congolaise dévoile en ligne "Mabanzo", un premier album bigarré à découvrir en écoute intégrale.Juanita Euka est une mappemonde à elle toute seule. Née au Congo à la fin du siècle dernier, la jeune chanteuse a très tôt déménagé à Buenos Aires où les rythmes latins ont alors baigné son enfance. Nièce du géant de la rumba congolaise Franco Luambo, cette vingtenaire charismatique a développé instinctivement une approche fusionnelle de la musique, un sillon qui s’est creusé lors de son arrivée il y a quelques années au cœur du bouillonnant melting-pot londonien. Là-bas, elle élargit sa palette au contact du grime, de la soul et du jazz, mais aussi en renouant avec ses racines latines auprès de plusieurs formations cubaines et colombiennes.Remarquée il y a trois ans au micro de l’incandescent London Afrobeat Collective, Juanita Euka a vu sa course freinée, comme tant d’autres, par la situation sanitaire qui l’a forcée à reporter sine die la sortie de son premier album baptisé Mabanzo chez les Anglais de Strut Records.
