Al WOOTTON Callers Spring Trule

The man occasionally known as Deadboy returns to Trule with more far-out garage subversions in the form of 'Callers Spring'. Sitting somewhere between techno, dub, UKG and deconstructed jungle, the title track sets the scene with its well-oiled, slippery beats and rising sub pressure. It's backed up by the brilliant 23rd century jazz of 'Grounding', the Isolee-meets-Carl Craig style spirals and sense of space on 'Saraph' before 'Doxa' closes the EP with a sparse minimal adieu that sits somewhere between Basic Channel and Zed Bias. Spring when you're winning.

Dark Fields stands out from the barrage or recent Spanish experimental-industrial underground re-issues as one of the most obscure and surrounded by mysticism. One massive track with no cuts, recorded in 1979 under the motto "a silence that makes dogs bark" and released by Klamm in 1983 in a tiny edition of 300, the trio disbanded shortly after finishing the recording and never looked back.Darker than tar atmospheres with Resident's like vocals, this is the brainchild of Caballero T's obsessions with Brian Eno's work, who found the perfect partners in Tres' psychotic vocals and the studio wizardry of Señor Nada. Reissued by Madrid's Equilibrio, who already gave us Randomize's ¿Como se divertirán los insectos? Not for the faint of heart. [info sheet from distr.]
Words from the Author:'Here comes another alias...These ideas were originally drafted and prepared for two live performances in Paris and Amsterdam in 2017. I took a reactionary approach to these performances, specifically in that I would not “perform” anything but rather “present” what could be called a snapshot of my studio explorations at the time. To be presented on record, outside of a live performance setting, some amendments have been made but the live sequence has remained intact.Play it loud.'Comes with printed colour insert.
