Afro funk anthem from Togo. recorded in Otodi studio in the 80's Itadi bonney develop a perfect groove all long the LP. here's come in rare Test press or blank vinyle. Good press Anyway. You can see marks but do not affect play
Talented Italian collective Aura Safari features well known Italian house producer Nicolas amongst other fine musicians. They have released a fine album on UK label Church but now head to their homeland's Hell Yeah for a debut EP full of magic. 'Lagos Connect' fuses afro drumming with house beats, lush synth work and glowing melodies to make for something beautifully grown up and musical as well as danceable. After the reprise and dub comes 'Morning Rivers,' a super slinky and seductive jazz-funk number with glowing, golden chords and subtle cosmic rays of light.Aura Safari Feat Villy - Lagos Connect
Dont's limited off shoot serves up a second sizzling 12" here with RLGN collaborating with various different artists. First up though he goes solo with distorted bass and crushing drums making a heavy and hard edge warehouse banger. 'Wounded Cowboy' then comes on strong with Any Act and is laced up with fizzing acid and busted electro drum loops. Locked Club is the collaborator on '2040' and it's a panel-beating techno cut with more textured synth madness adding fuel to the fire. Locked Club is again the partner in sonic crime for the closer 'Angry Pyosa' which spins out on more busted loops and raved up synths.
Musicians, producers and DJs Jakub Sautycz and Mateusz Filipiuk formed Jazxing in their hometown of Gdańsk, Poland. Integrated with the wider Balearic music scene, Jazxing are part of a growing group of colourful Polish artists, clubs and labels who want to share and inspire people with their passion for these sounds. Jazxing first went public on a Very Polish Cutouts release and since then the duo have graced Polena Recordings, Father And Son Records And Tapes, and Zambon`s Transatlantyk imprint. ‘Pearls of the Baltic Sea’ is filled with the depth of emotions, changing states of one’s spirit, and unpredictability of the Baltic weather, standing in contrast to their simple, but eloquent music forms.Jazxing explain “We meant to produce an album that one can find nostalgic, and maybe an opportunity to stop for a while with one’s daily routine and look out of the box. To bring about good memories, focus on the details in life that make us happy, and stay there for a bit. We wanted to create a comfortable space for music lovers.”Seabirds fly above synthetic strings, and sparse, peacefully plucked 6-string notes, on the slo-mo disco opener, *Fala*. The track`s growling post-punk funk groove further sweetened, softened, by ethereal vocals and a sultry sax solo.W Uścisku, with a chorus that translates as “I`m in your arms, hold me in your arms”, is another slow, acidic, shuffle, which features some very fine vibes virtuosity, and the passionate vocals of Kamio Kozlowski - of fellow Poles, Van Cyklop.Artifacts raids the archives, and rides an early `90s Soul II Soul-esque beat. Its purring, whispering vixen and cascading Italian house chords recalling the e`d up erotic chart machinations of Deep Forest, Innocence, Madonna, and Talcy Malcy.Hyacinth is a wordless ballad, epic in ambition, accompanied by plaintive keys and arcs of whale-song-like guitar. A prog / space-rock moment for fans of A Mountain Of One.Neu Nostalgia is a chunky, chugging, sorta Siouxsie Sue / Cure-like creation. Driven by the bass, but hanging on the ringing, razor-sharp, axe riffs.Harbor Dub is a sludgy, squelchy skank, where psychedelic sound effects smash the singer into sexy splinters.Shoegaze Dub keeps the extravagant echo and reverb, swapping, though, the Jamdown for the tremolo`d twang of a rock `n` roll rumble, while building up to some euphoric evangelically-edged piano.Acoustic strumming is looped-up and layered to manufacture the closing *Vijnana*`s meditative musical mist. Additional picking providing the melody, as the b-line vamps on Coltrane, joining the dots, making the path plain, between A Love Supreme and severely sedated, stoned to say the least, house.
The 7th 7" in the 7" series on NoCorner is here......Kinlaw & Franco Franco's already-anthemic 'Crocs On The Plough' banger, cut to disc with a screwed dub version by Young Echo's O$VMV$M.We've been itching to get this disc out to the world for some time, and we really did wrestle for this one - trust. So it's with extra delight that we can now present this tune from Bristol / Avon's very own Kinlaw & Franco Franco - the name of the duo that should be well on your radar by now - if not: make sure to skip back a couple of chapters and check their albums on Avon Terrror Corps.Pitch-sliding rap in italiano versus pheasantry-grade industrial rhythmz -Kinlaw & Franco Franco have been causing a proper raucous with their unique cyberpunk-industrial style, both on record and live in the dance - From breaking legs in countryside sheds, to pissing off german bouncers by way of moshing crowds at Atonal in Berlin - the two have been flying the flag for righteous noise and much needed energy boosts for some time now, and 'Crocs In The Plough' has been a staple in their sets for some time now, providing an equal parts soothing, yet crushing piece of sonic tapestry that summons many moods and even timelines - effectively sitting in a world of it's own:somewhere between medieval ditty, future-shocked italian rap, and Timbaland-worthy RnB-esque melodics... And of course Crocs... on a plough, no less.Once you've let the original cut play on loop for a while - when you're ready - you can dive into the O$VMV$M version and take the trip into hallucinogenic-grade, valium-step chopped & $crewed dub territory - $VM & VMO$ take the track to a place where the Crocs On The Plough go sl0-mo, into sub-zero outer space.Letting the melody drift weightlessly around distant echos of the vocal - this one takes you far away, and brings you back only momentarily, like the wake up call of a fragmented heart beat, hitting when those drum sounds go collatoral like meteorites on crash course with our croc-powered spaceship -Edition of 200.hand-stamped centre labels.Printed reversed board sleeve - designed by Kin40k and Studio Tape-Echo.
