Nice modern Roots production by Fruits Records (Switzerland) alongside The Silvertones (Jam). Listen to the flip featuring Westfinga on the mix. Here comes the « Wonderland of Green Riddim » from Fruits Records’ studio band The 18th Parallel. This one is a super heavy rub a dub riddim played in the Roots Radics early 80’s traditional style. Double 7” single, the first record features the legendary Jamaican vocal trio from Studio One and Black Ark days, The Silvertones, singing the roots anthem « Wonderland of Green » and an extra killer dub mix by French wizard Westfinga on the B side. The second record features the big bad DJ Burro Banton with « Living In a Wonderland » and the instrumental version on the flip side. A must have double 7” single for all selecters!

On his ninth album, Jamaican Heroes, celebrated reggae artist and proud Rastafarian Prince Far I worked with musicians like Roots Radics and The Flying Lizards. His own distinctive voice remains the central characteristic of all the tunes though, and the production by Anthony "Crucial Bunny" Graham at Channel One in Jamaica remains vital. This must have record covers plenty of subjects close to the artists's own heart and each one has a special hook or nice rumbling boss, fly-away toms or stoner chords. This version comes on heavyweight orange vinyl and there are only 750 copies.

Two great rocksteady sides. "What A Botheration" is one of the earliest production by Lee Perry, after he had left Joe Gibbs and had started producing for his own Upsetters label. B-side has the Silvertones first version of "Broken Hearted Melody", which they re-recorded just a year later for Duke Reid.
Now on vinyl gatefold sleeve! The veteran roots reggae duo return with 'Back A Yard' (patois for 'back in Jamaica'). The 11-song set features longstanding members, Winston "Pipe" Matthews and Lloyd "Bread" McDonald, in the studio with producer/ singer Alborosie, whose deep study of Jamaican music was heavily influenced by the Souls and their heyday at Channel One studio in the 1980s. The production features all-star musicians including keyboardist Tyrone Downie (formerly of The Wailers) and bassist Errol "Flabba" Holt (of the historic Roots Radics band). The first single is a re-make of "Shark Attack" one of the bands classic '90s hits, featuring a deejay verse by Alborosie.
