Two legendary Jamaican artists on a tuff rub a dub riddim produced by Viktorious.

There´s actually a special story about this release. I (Erik, selector of Fast Forward Sound) was listening to this really awesome sound tape with Black Star Sound from the mid 80´s, a session where deejay Bruck Back aka Crock Back is truly on fire. He is riding riddims like Every Tongue Shall Tell in a truly unique and captivating style. On the same tape there´s a short snippet of Earl Cunningham singing a killer tune that I got kind of obsessed about. A tune that made me do a youtube pull up a serious number of times...

As a selector and record collector I obviously started to look for the tune on record but it was nowhere to be found. So, I found Earl Cunningham online and asked him about it. And apparently the song was never recorded! So what else to do but to record it? And as you can hear Earl Cunningham didn´t dissapoint and delivered a killer vocal some 20+ years after he first sang the tune on the mighty Black Star Sound.

Every tune needs a deejay part, so what else to do than to ask the other star from that Black Star session - the under recorded Bruck Back aka Crock Back (whos first release was on a 12" where he performs alongside the great Super Cat). He came up with a great tune about his own lyrical abilities - Lyrics Fiesta.
